Starting an Herb Garden

Here’s the thing about herbs: they are both beautiful and functional. They also grow almost anywhere – in a container, in a dedicated herb garden, in an ornamental garden – and this makes them ideal for gardens of all kinds. The only concern about where to grow them is making sure they’re close enough to the house to quickly snip for cooking. If your herbs are nearby, you can run outside and grab some basil and rosemary to spice up any dish. I grow many perennial and annual herbs in my potager. Here are just a few:
